    Can i still exchange my mbp if i find a defect after 14 days? or will i have to deal with apple care.

    All defects have to go through Apple Care. The 14-day period is only if you want to return it. I think there's a 10% restocking fee if you return it in that period (lame, I know).

    So if my unit has a loose battery door, or fingerprints behind the screen, i have to send it into applecare? I cant bring it into the store for a swap?

    Fingerprints behind the screen?!? That would be annoying. Something else to check off the list when inspecting your brand new notebook. :rolleyes:
