I have office 08 for the mac and as of yesterday it wont stop crashing and i have no idea what is wrong. It will crash randomly on intervals of about every 30seconds-5mins. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to its crashing it just does it randomly as im entering data. Im not sure what to do i reinstalled it but that did not help. Anyone have this problem or know how to possibly fix it? I wish i didnt have to use excel but i have no choice but to for school...hence the reason i even bought 08 office and its been nothing but problems since day 1 of buying it every program crashes randomly and does weird things in office 08.

Have you installed the latest patch? Or rather the only patch available for MS Office 2008.

hmm...I just downloaded it and tried to install it but its saying that "You cannot install Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 Update on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."

that makes no sense at all.....i have office installed already is there something else im missing?
