Did apple announce the exact release date of snow leopard? on their site it says September, but I want to buy a macbook pro and I want SL to be included with my new package for school and school starts September 8th so I was just wondering if they announced the exact date yet?

    thanks.

    Everything will stay in place*

However! In my previous experience, upgrading to leopard from (was it tiger?) there were a couple of small bugs with finder and networking. So sometimes a fresh install is a little 'safer', but generally Apple is pretty hot with their install/upgrade process.
