    dunno if i shuld worry or not

    i recently bought the basic model of the macbook. i upgraded the ram myself to 2gb. Its been great all week. But 2day the fan came on the first time i think. The first time it came on it woz unusually loud. It could be heard over a tv in the same room. It came on again later on 2day and the same thing happened. Is this supposed to happen? PLease reply asap. btw it get really warm on the corner by the battery even after the SMC update. Please leave a reply with advice. Thank u! Mayb i have the model where the there woz a prblem with the plastic on the vent or sumin. Is there a way to chek this?

    The fan will come on when it needs to. When you do something really intensive, the fan will come full blast. After a few hours, my fan came on a lot more and temps were around 57c doing only web browsing and accessing HD a few times.

    After the SMC update, my MB didn't feel much cooler underneath near the battery.

    Woz one of the founders of Apple, I'm sure he was commemorating him. ;)

    Anyways, the vent and the plastic thing shouldn't really be something thats found anymore, but to be safe you check by the back of the LCD.

    Put your hand by the back of the LCD to see if you feel heat is coming out
