The Macbooks come with iLife and trial versions of MS Office 2004 for Mac and iWorks (Notes and Pages). The installers are included in the CDs. There are a few games and utilities, such as Grapher, as well.

No, I' pretty sure they don't come on CDs. Apples usually preinstalls them on the computer. And if youre looking for preinstalled software on the macbook.... I don't think they come with the appleworks producivity suite any more. That's annoying if u need out-of-the box word processing.
Better check with someone else, I was told this by a friend.

Yes, OS X, iLife, trial versions of iWork and MS Office plus some other stuff do come on dvds with the purchase and you can install them at your leisure should you need to at a later date.

The MB comes with most basic software you'll need. You can get some free open source office stuff online as well.
But yeah, macs always come with their stuff on DVD's. At least, everyone who I know who owns multiple macs have always had their stuf given on cd/dvds.

Unlike in the windows world hehe.
