Some people, including myself, think there will be a design change. Some people do not.

I like the current design of mac's. Just too pricey for me, plus i'm just not a mac fan. But Mac>Windows anyday.

If you mean a major change, it's possible but I doubt it. Before MBP the PowerBooks had basically the same design (I'm sure there are subtle differences, but they look really similar) for as long as I can remember. They could introduce a smaller model though (like a 12" or 13" MBP).

Well, considering the MacBook Pro shares virtually the same design as the Powerbook G4, it is about time to a change of design.

Yet I seriously don't know how they could change the design of the MacBook Pro in a way that would improve it. Its almost perfect as is. Maybe even thinner, as Steve Jobs loves his products to be ;).

Well, an LED backlight would do that :D And I think it needs to get the magnetic latch thing from the MB, that button thing has been there for way too long.

I would say just some minor changes nothing big, I doubt about the megnetic lock since its all aluminium, the LED backlit would be more thin so either reducing the dimension even more or giving something that will compenstae the place lost. Maybe place for blue ray

There is one things thats on my mind. If they are going to produce 13.3" led backlit why did they upgrade macbook? Maybe 13.3 MBP

I think you may see some changes. Part of the reason for not changing it when they switched to Intel was to reassure people that these were the same computers, just a little different on the inside. It was to make Mac users more comfortable.

I think there will be some change. Nothing radical, like from the eMac to the iMac, more like how the DV line from HP has grown and shifted over the years. Apple is very secure with its industrial design ideas, so I'm sure it wont stray too far from that, and thinner is always better in Mr. Jobs eyes.

My guess is we get the LED displays, Santa Rosa chipsets, a media reader and a faster optical drive (probably not BR or HD DVD). What I'd really like also is a second button for the touchpad mouse, as both OSX and Windows (if you're using Boot Camp) are two button mouse OSes.

I'd be quite upset if they added a button actually. The two finger on touchpad+click is better for me than having two buttons. I love the size of the pad, it's actually usable, and adding buttons would just clutter up the functionality and design.
You can do the same as in OS X to right click in windows, and it works just fine.

Maybe they can do a thing where there's only one physical button but two buttons under it. They should offer the mbps in all the ipod nano colors just as a gimmick if nothing else. And if you do, Apple, send a check my way.

i think the macbook pro is targeted toward the serious professional market.

gimmicks probably wont take them very far.

im so happy i finally get a laptop- and a brand new unix OS experience.

ive been on windows since win 95 when i was like 5 years old or something ridiculous. i never touched osx or linux. i ALMOST tried linux once- i went as far as downloading it and burning a cd... never took the next step

and now- osx, a clean os with magical support for hardware and software together and everything works! woo hoo!

    thankyou steve jobs!
