I have a rather arduous task here, unless I can find a simpler way to automate the proceedure. Long story short - I have been asked to search for specific jpg images, identify them, and sort them. The computer I'm sorting through is a COMPLETE MESS. If I could capitalize that more I would. Duplicates have run rampent, in duplicate folders, in the most confusing file tree imaginable.
I need, or want, an easy way to automate deleting these duplicate jpg images, but I don't want to worry that the program just "generally" deleted everything that had the same title. Some files which aren't duplicates, may have the same title, i.e. 1.jpg-24kb 1.jpg-365kb 1.jpg-60kb
I don't want to explain how this happened... but it's years of mismanagement.
Am I screwed?
P.S. I have searched a bit for programs and found MrClean, but it looks too simple maybe? I like free, but pay for suggestions would be okay too.
