I know OS x manages file fragmentation well, but does anyone know of a decent defrag software (disk defrag)?

I have used Drive Genius in the past and it does make a difference. It is currently on offer in the macupdates bundle so well worth a look.

yes, keep you HDD under 50% (trouble-free) or 35% (when ur pushing it) full; to benefit from OS X's fragmentation resistance file system.

    otherwise, i recommend:
    -Micromat's - Techtool Pro
    -Coriolis Systems' - iDefrag
