I've got a bit of a tricky situation where the lcd of this 2011 macbook air 13'' is damaged due to being stepped on. It got slightly worse over time. It's about 5 months old, but on the plus side, everything else seems to work perfectly fine.

Does anyone know how much it would cost through Apple to repair (no warranty)? Or the other option that I find an lcd and swap it out myself if that is even possible on this particular laptop, and at what cost?

    I'm in Australia btw.

Apple to do it in Canada its $675, in AUS it could be more. only other option would to be get a screen assembly and swap it yourself, but last time I looked they were hard to get.

if the front glass and the aluminum lid are still good, you can attempt a panel swap but it is not easy at all and you may break it more. ifixit.com has guides to do the swaps

and no Apple will not warranty a broken screen
