Is there a way to copy a windows file to OSX, i.e. from Parallels to Mac. I know I can copy actual text, but have not figured out how to copy a file.

Yeah, it's done through shared folders and with Parallels Tools:

Just install parallels tools and you will be able to copy/drag files to/from Windows from/to OS X.

Yeah with the latest version it's as simple as dragging it from the application to your desktop. Or vice versa.

Ahh, that's even cooler. Can't wait til I get a MBP again to be able to see how Parallels and VMware Fusion are progressing.
