Is their any mac software to demux an mkv file and remux it into an mp4 container? The only software I know of are windows only.

The reason being is that I would like to play these files on my ps3, but if it is too much effort I guess I can just use the video out on my laptop.

    Hello,

If the mkv file already contains H264 or MPEG-4 Video, then I believe that SimpleMovieX can save it in an iPod-compatible MP4 container without reencoding.

Please let me know if it works, as I'm the developer of this application.
Note1: Use Perian codec ( http://perian.org) to be able to read mkv files.
Note2: If the mkv file contains DivX, the same trick works with AVI container: You can save your mkv in AVI format without reencoding.

    Regards, BJ
