iam planning on getting the macbookpro15 with the 3.0 processor with 4gb ram. my main goal is to use photoshop and finalcut express. my current system as a thinkpad x200t and the canon 7d files are taxing the system badly. do you think this is the way to go?

main question is: will i beable play mw2 in bootcamp? will it be playable?

For gaming, the important thing is the gpu. So make sure you don't get the base 15" with the 9400.
For lots of files/ps etc. a fast hdd (7200rpm or ssd if you can afford it) is also a good idea.

Photo editing is CPU intensive, and although the current MBP range should be fine with handling 18Mpx images, it might be better to wait for the next refresh if you can.

Gaming is GPU intensive, and the 9600m GT should have no problems with MW2, albeit not with every setting maxed out.

depends. If you are a student Apple will give you a discount. If not who ever is cheaper is cool.
