    compression files on macbook pro

    well when i was on windows i would use alzip to open/create compression files. What programs are there on mac to do the same thing? i got this .rar file and am having a hard time trying to find a program to open it. Any suggestions?

    Well .rar is currently one of the few I know that OS X does not support byself without third party software.

    I would recommend searching on google for Rar Expander, it's beta I believe, but it works pretty well. Mac OS X should be able to handle zip files without any problems.
