I had a chance to stop by at apple store today, and compared the anti glare screens on both 15 inch and 17 inch models.
To my surprise, the 15 inch one was much brighter than 17 inch one. I made sure that both had max brightness settings, and it was clear that 15 inch one was superior.
maybe this 17 inch display model was defect? anyone has opposite experience?
(btw, I hate seeing myself and losing focus because of reflective glassy screens)

    17" anti-glare is shamefully bad.

[As a side note, it's just apples marketing that is called them "anti-glare", is there any difference between them and the matte ones from previous gens?]
