    cant get mbp cover off

    i wanted to install some new ram so i was takeing the cover off the back.
    when upside down, the top left screw was stuck and i tried to screw it off and now the screw hole is messed.

    also, when closeing the screw near the battery (bottom right) wont fully go in and i cant put it in fully?

    what can i do??? :confused:

    There are three different size screws, make sure you are putting the right ones in there spots. As for the screw you stripped. Be more careful next time. If a screw is hard to get out, don't keep going at it and make it worse. Take it to a Apple store. You will probably get charged since something like that probably won't be covered under Apple care.

    Well, if it's stripped, there's not much you can do about it. Really, the best way to fix that is to use a thin chisel or xacto knife to try to cut off the "head" of the screw. What I do sometimes is use a drill with a bit that is just big enough to fit in the hole that you stripped - then, when it's drilled, the head falls off as a ring (because there's nothing holding it to the rest of the screw), and then it comes off.
