I am planning to buy a small and portable macbook (13 inch screen size), where do you think I can get the cheapest one? Do you think that on thanksgiving day they will lower the prize down?

If you are student or know a student would try to get an educational discount.

If you are a student, you can just call up Apple and get a discount. However, you will get a bigger discount buying through your school, and you won't have to pay shipping.

Otherwise check out macbookcentral for latest deals. They will have listings of sales, rebates, and refurbs around the web.

No, it will have been tested to be sure it is properly working. Many people only buy refurb from Apple and have great success with it.

Probably not. If you see a macbook going for under 800, there is probably something wrong with it.

Hallownail is right. The MacBook is still rather new, and Apples do tend to hold value rather well. So in order for it t have lost that much value this fast, it would have to have something wrong.

refurrbished means they tested it already
so will it have some signs it has been used like dirtiness or anything

Dirtiness, probably not, but it may have some blemishes, scratches, dents, etc. Usually they are in pretty good condition.
