This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    sorry for the multi posts but first day really messing with the new mbp. I get a 45 base score in windows index, because my harddrive. I got the base macbook pro with 120gb 5400 HD. I thought i seen others get a 4.8 with the same system

    if you bump up the hard drive you would get 4.9 and stay there because of the memory speed

    pretty sure these laptops cap at 4.8 for memory speed. At least, I've never seen a 4.9.
