If you created a virtual machine using VMWare fusion, you can just delete that partition by putting the file containing the partition in trash.

If you want to install Windows without touching OS X, you will have to use Boot Camp by running Boot Camp Manager in OS X. More info can be found on the stickies: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=145917

If you want to fully uninstall the application VMWare Fusion, you will have to do so by running the uninstaller that comes with the VMWare Fusion installer (which you can dload from their site).

The location of your virtual machine file (your Windows partition used by VMWare Fusion) is located at wherever you decided to put it, usually in ~/Documents/VMWare Fusion. You can just trash that if you want to get rid of the partition.

What did you format? OS X? Or did you just create a new partition using Boot Camp?

Try restarting your Mac while holding down the Alt (Option) key. Chances are you've set your Mac to boot the Boot Camp partition automatically. Note that you need to have the key pressed down before your machine turns on.

Is there a password field? If there is, try your root password.
