oooh, that would be nice. But meh. I like the Aluminum colour of the MBP.

Though it would look cool if it was the same colour as the Asus W3J.

Apple displays plug into other computers, as the use standard ports. They are fairly good, though they lack settings. They don't have internal speakers, and you don't want that anyways, as those suck.

I wouldn't mind a black MBP. But not in the style of the black MacBook, more in the style of MBP's aluminum but in black.

If there was a black macbook pro, I would have bought it.
I personally don't like the aluminum (which is too bad, considering apple is turning a lot into aluminum), and I would have chosen the macbook, but in the end, the black macbook looked a lot nicer to me, so I got it.

And I agree with Sam, a black macbook pro, in the style of the macbook pro aluminum.

The best way to color aluminum is to anodize it. This is expensive, and it can still scratch. I like the bare aluminum because it wears well, even with a lot of scratches. A scratched up black Macbook Pro would look horrible.

I wonder if an anodized MBP would look good. I'm not sure it would fit the styilng of the MBP.

I don't know why people keep suggesting paintwork by Colorware. It sucks IMHO. If they did the keyboard as well, that would be something, but black with grey keyboard sucks.

Is it so hard to paint the keyboard as well, or what?

I didn't say you recommend it. But every time someone opens a topic or brings the sentence "why don't they make a black whatever" everyone suggests Colorware.

Because that's the option that exists. I think they're ugly as well. But until Apple releases a Blackbook Pro, this will be the only(?) option.

The MBP IS anodized aluminum. It's been the same way since the original 17" Powerbook. It's not bare aluminum.

I vote only for a Carbon Fiber MacBook Pro, Formula 1 grade or Aircraft grade carbon fiber, all dry carbon, 1x1 perfect weave, beautiful carbon fiber, even every single key, made of carbon.

if they made that, I would sell my MBP right now to replace it.

I had a dark gray/gun metal colored DELL Inspiron 8600c and the color was nothing special. Black is dead common, everything from the cheap $300 laptops at Wal-Mart to the overpriced Alienware can come in black.

I prefer the alluminum silver that the MacBook Pro comes in. While I wouldn't recommend ColorWare, you can always buy shells for the MacBook Pro that change it's outside appearance. I use a dark blue shell, so when my MBP is closed it looks very distinct. While it's open, I'm too busy looking at the screen to notice the silver keys (which have a transparent blue cover from iSkin) or the silver palm rests. Best of all, the shell provides protection. So no dings in my aluminum. :)
