    best place to buy new macbook

    So i went to the apple store and played with a new macbook and i want one. Im going to get the base configuration as i dont burn dvds and will drop in a 200gb hard drive when i get it and possibly due a ram upgrade if i feel i need it. whats the best place to buy, macmall is 1019 after $75 rebate with free shipping and no tax is there anyplace that will beat this?

    Normally I would say amazon, but right now they still have the older pre-santa rosa models. They also offer a $75 rebate and free shipping. I find the rebate to be more useful @ amazon. Um, if you wait a few days you could get the low end model for less than a grand when they start to clear that old stock for the new configurations.

    MacMall is cheap, but I have heard issues with them. I'd say just get it from the Apple Store, but if you're near sales tax-free places such as Oregon (assuming you're American), you can get it there.
