    I noticed the memory price dropped on crucial.com for MBPs.

    Did anybody upgrade the memory from crucial? Did you have problems?

    Do you have other recommendations (other brands) ?

    My previous MBP's have had crucial memory. I've upgraded clients with Kingston memory before but I prefer crucial for nearly all my machines I either own or service.

    Honestly, they are very similar; just check for pin / speed... generally just buy the cheapest one...

    Psalm, I asked because if you check the messages on newegg.com for the mushkin memory for macbook pro quite of few people had issues with it, so I was curious about other brands. So, apparently they are not that similar.

    They're all similar, issues are typically few compared to the number of purchases. The companies selling memory buy the memory chips from very few sources (ie. Micron, Samsung, Hynix, etc.).
