im just wondering if there is a difference in battery life between a core 2 duo at 2.0 and a core duo at 2.0

also how much of a difference in performance will be seen for standard web browsing, music, word processing, video chatting, and so forth
    nothing too power user-ish

    thanks in advance

The Core duo uses about 5% less power and also has about 10% less processing power. Both not too noticable.

Strange... somehow the Core 2 Duo is more more power efficient and 20% faster according to benchmarks.

Both very noticeable to me. Also the Core 2 Duo is 64bit the Duo is not.

yea i noticed in the review that the core duo died like 2 hours earlier on a dvd running test, i was unsure whether this was an anomaly and how it compared to everyday use because i wont be watching dvd's that much
