Hey guys, I was wondering how long does the macbook battery lasts while watching dvd´s in iDVD or watching iTunes videos, and, a completly different subject, what exactly is the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Test Drive, how long does it last?
    Thanx in advance.

It should go for at least 3 hours, depending of couse on screen brightness and whether wifi is on or off.
As for MS Office, 30 days IIRC. It is exactly that, a test version that disables itself after 30 days. It is quite complete, but I think some features like printing are disabled, I really don't remember.

The only downside to office is that it doesn't have one note. I can't remember if it has powerpoint in it either (think it does...).

Just to clarify, iDVD is designed for authoring DVD's, not watching them. There is a normal app called DVD Player for DVD playback.

Some MacBook owners will often use a program like Handbrake to rip a version of their DVD's to t heir hard drives.... watching it like this could give you a battery life benefit (since it wouldn't be spinning the DVD drive constantly).

Can Handbrake reencode DVDs to fit into a DVD5 disc?

Handbrake is just for ripping a DVD to MPEG4 or h.264 format. It doesn't do transcoding or DVD shrinking or that kind of thing.
