This is probably a pretty basic question, but how would I go about backing up everything I have on my mac?

    thanks

There's some programs that are great for backing-up, such as SuperDuper!, but personally backing-up is having a duplicate copy of your most important files in case something goes wrong with the hard drive. So its as easy as just copying all your music onto a CD and storing that CD away, or having all your pictures in iPhoto as well as a flash drive. You get the picture.
