I wasn't able to find this information anywhere. Are the screens on the macbook pros listed on apple's website right now glossy or matte?

I've not used macs, I'm just looking for a decent workstation with a matte screen, quad core, and at least 16GB, and the mac might be a candidate.

The MacBook Pro with Retina Display is a weird hybrid of glossy and matte, less reflective than the standard pre-Retina models but much more than the antiglare screens from the same era. If you want a true matte screen, you'll need to look elsewhere.

The new macbook pro retina screens are not too glossy you really should just walk into an apple store or Best Buy and look at them yourself and see if you like them or not.
