Not buying a notebook, just a costly accessory so wanted to touch base with you guys on this retailer. Anyone bought from applesales.com? cs/sales/shipping and everything top notch with them?

    Thanks.

    "MacTown sets sights on service

DAYTON — — Same business, new location, new name. Now MacTown, the former Weingarten Gallery in Centerville has relocated to Kingsridge Drive, behind Dayton Mall.

Along with the new name and location is a new company mission, said store owner Jason Lewantowicz, who with his wife, Heather, purchased the business in February 2005.

MacTown, in Centerville, is expanding it's customer base to include retail sales of Apple products.

"Our goal is to offer our customers a personal experience when they come in — to spend one-on-one time with them," Lewantowicz said. "They are important to us, and it's important that we make sure they're getting the system that they need."

Store Manager Brad Ditzell further explained.

"Customer service is missing in the industry," he said. "We don't want it to be: Come in, buy a box, give us your money and leave. We want you to enjoy your experience here. I think that's just missing, especially with the computer industry, because everything is so cutthroat."

Until now, the store allocated 70 percent to sales and service to businesses and only 30 percent to retail. That's going to change, Lewantowicz said.

"We're aiming to split that 50/50," he said. They're also planning to add a few more employees by the end of the year, he added.

MacTown carries all Apple products, except for the new iPhone, which is sold only online through Apple, or at Apple and AT&T retail stores.

"We want to be your first point of contact," Ditzell said. "We want you to come here for sales and for service. We want to be the epicenter for Apple products and service in the Dayton area."

They used to be at 625 Congress Park Dr
Dayton, OH 45459 before the name change to MacTown
    It looks real enough

but the domain changes are curious. Still unless you're actually IN ohio and can visit the store, I don't see why you'd want to order from them online. Amazon is potentially much cheaper if you must buy online

Ok, figured it was too good to be true (the discontinued and now rare booq powersleeve). Have another source though (ebay and pivotgear), just more cash.

    Appreciate it.

Wow what a great thread of sleeves jimmy. So many good photos. Some I haven't seen before and I'm DEEP right now lol. Have some more looking to do now.

I'm actually a thinkpad guy, but that particular line of booq sleeves designed for macs just had my "perfect storm" of features- ballistic nylon on the outside, thick foam padding, a flap top, a BUCKLE, no velcro anywhere. Only reason I'm even considering $100+ for a sleeve- otherwise it's going to be a brain cell or a waterfield (wild card- victorinox cs2 suspended hard shell sleeve) which are both more perfect fits.
