    What is your experience with Apple after the warranty of your laptop expired? Problems, things breaking, expensive or the just the opposite?

    I plan to get a 3 year warranty but I was wondering what will happen after that, so perhaps you could share your experience.

    Yep, it is not uncommon for a mainboard or screen inverter to go, EXPENSIVE and if you dont have access to parts, many times not worth the repair

    Do you know if you can extend the warranty beyond 3 years? For instance, with Dell, after almost 3 years I've been able to extend the warranty for 2 more years.

    By new one he means new Mac, not new Apple Care, You CAN NOT extend the warranty beyond 3 years.
