does anybody know if this keyboard supports BT 2.1? there is no tech specs on apple's website.

I get repeated keys and there is a firmware update that should take care of that.

also I had to pair it every 2-3 days because when I come back from hibernation or sleep it always have problems connecting, does anybody else have problem?

does the light blink when batteries are low?

I saw this software update, http://support.apple.com/downloads/Keyboard_Software_Update_1_2

what does it add, and is it for this keyboard? all the keyboards in the download section have the same picture but there are d/l updates from 2006 when this keyboard wasn't even around.

    thanks.

    1. It supports BT 2.1+EDR

    2. Not too sure what is happening with the repeated keys, but it's most likely a firmware update like you said.

    3. Yes, the light blinks when the batteries are low..

    Hope that helps!

Well they last a long time. But if it's blinking and disconnecting all the time. That would probably mean the batteries are dead.

Exactly. When you try to turn it on and the batteries are dead, then it will blink 3 times and then the light will cut off. ;)

well this keyboard is really giving me a headache, there is so much lag in the typing and I put new batteries. I also have the latest firmware. My BT is now supporting 2.1 but things just seem to get worse.

R U referring to a different system other than the one in your sig? If not then you might want to consider that Apple's system requirements for that BT keyboard are Mac OS X only. The driver issues most likely are from the lack of compatibility your system, not the keyboard.

I have no lag either when using it on my macs, unfortunately you might have run into a Dell + Apple conflict!

you guys are right, but then why at times it works just fine?

I can't figure out if it's the BT card, or if it's a software thing. I also have bootcamp installed.

Perhaps it's defective. You could have a genius check it up for you.

Yes, like Luke said, there could be something wrong with it such as a defective BT module, faulty antenna, etc. that could be disconnecting it so often. ;)

Oh that's problem. Did they register it when you bought it. The genius asked for the receipt while inspecting my laptop for backlight staging and fortunately, i had it though There were no signs of heavy backlight staging.

I dropped it off. they didn't ask. I highly doubt they are gonna be able to replicated. They wanted me to bring my laptop. I told him it takes at least an hour to replicate. he also said because the drivers aren't written for windows. what BS. so now they are gonna check on their own. if they want me to bring in my laptop, I don't know what I will do. is it written anywhere that apple keyboards are not designed for windows OS? but now windows runs on macs. so? how should I approach them?

they gave me a new one!!! but what jerks. most clerks had no clue on how to do things or answer questions. there must be a high turn-around or they don't get any training.
let's see how this works. it paired much quicker I noticed.

I am definitely gonna give a few days for testing. If things don't work then it's just the keyboard doesn't work well with vista.
