i want to buy an Apple Powerbook but i want to know what to put in it, how much memory and all that stuff;i dont know much about all of these things. can anyone help?i always want the best things and i want a good computer. this is the first time i am going to own an apple, right now i have a HP PAVILION ZE5170 it has been good for the time I had it, I can't complain except for the battery life. i am a university student planning on majoring in civil engineering. are these computers good for that? Also, i was planning to buy it immediately as soon as someone responds to this thread, but can someone tell me if i should wait becasue the powerbook came out a long time ago and i don't know if something new is about to come out.
    Thanks.

Well it depends iu wouldnt load up on the hdd. You can always buy an external one later on newgegg(which are very cheap when you find a deal) So i woul get at least a gig of ram for what you plan bc of the program it may take a lot. Other than that APPLE PWNS!!! I would just get the memory if i were you. (and iWorks is sweet its fun and has a lot of **** in it look at but i dont think you will need it buts it fun to play around with)

there could be something new coming out, but i believe that if something new comes out within a certain time after purchase, they will exchange it (or maybe that is just for software). Yeah upgrade the ram, but don't buy it from apple. buy it from a separate place b/c it will be cheaper.
