I don't think most people are going to void their warranty, and risk breaking something?

I just glued leopard skin fur on the outside of mine. It's super cool now.

This is the first thing I will do when I get my macbook pro next week. That and install a bigger hard disk. Good old AS5 is better then anything they put on in the factory. I have done it with my 4 year old Samsung and with my T60. Both have been to repair since and no one complained, they just fixed the screen and a speaker. I dont expect apple will be a problem. Ofcourse if i break something during the process it wont be coverd. Also note i am in Germany and we have 2 years warenty on all items by law. It might be different in the USA.
for all those who need it here is a guide.

I generally prop the rear of mine up a little bit. It's free, I dunno.

I use water bottle caps on all four corners of my Alienware, and I get temperature drops of about 8 degrees Celsius. This is probably due to the fact that all of the air intake is done on the bottom of the computer. The fans don't sound like they have to work as hard. Sadly, I don't think focusing 12.5 pounds of force (that is the weight of the laptop) on 4 small points is very healthy for the components, so I have stopped doing that.
I plan on trying out my bottle cap method on my future MBP, as the weight won't be as serious. Also, having 2 paths for air to travel (above and below) around a metal case could work wonders!!

masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
it might be hard to market if you can recreate the concept with bottle caps lol...

Back when I first started doing the bottle cap thing, I would apply tape to the caps so they would stay on the four primary feet of the computer. There are 5 other support feet, but the feet are smaller. Still, they must be there for a reason, and I didn't want to use more than FOUR bottle caps (that would be dangerous), so I stopped using the caps altogether. Oh and the tape? That didn't work out so well.
