Yellow tint and dead/stuck pixel test for i5 & i7 MBPs - Mac Forums

For anyone interested, you can use either site (same sites used by the many people still with the iMac issue) below to test your monitor:

I think everyone with a 2010 MBP should run those tests and read through that thread. Some people are probably being too critical, while others have real problems (complete with photos).

For future purchasers, you have something to look out for.

very reassuring. thanks, guys. some of the people in the thread linked at the top of my opening post said they had exchanged their machines multiple times. I got the feeling that many of them were just being anal-retentive about perfection (which you can't get with a TN panel anyways, really)...but wanted to be sure.

    thanks.

Agreed on the possible anal-retentive issue. :p. The TN panels the macbook pro line uses are some of the best I have ever seen on a laptop IMO.

I looked at the new 13" Macbook Pro's today at an Apple store and the screen on the new 13" models was really nice. I do wish though that we had an option for a higher resolution screen like a 1440x900 which is great for those that trade stocks.

I have the new MBP 15" hi-res (glossy), no dead pixels or yellow tint here!
