I purchased my MBP one month ago and today I purchased the 24" iMAC. WOW!

My computer life is now complete. Goodbye Windows.

Hrm, Vista has a pretty big "wow" effect, especially with Aero Glass - until you get past the glitzy outer looks...

Bleh, personally I don't find Flip 3D useful at all. Having to look at your open windows at an angle, and having to flip through a few windows to get to the right one, why don't I just click on it on the taskbar? Flip 3D isn't very "wow" to me. Aero Glass is cool though.

Speaking of "glass", is there a way to get the transparency effect of the menus in OSX to be more transparent? I noticed they were much clearer in Leopard...is that not a feature in Tiger yet?

I don't believe so...that's one thing about OS X, its not very customizable GUI-wise.

On a side note, I tried Vista Ultimate. It definitely looked nice, but I wasn't "feelin' it". So I'm on XP Pro when necessary and I tried some of the Vista conversions. Not really for me either. WindowBlinds, no thanks. But XP has tons of themes at Softpedia. My favorite for now is Royale. What's going on OS X?

Congrats and I am jealous, somewhat. I too have taken delivery of the new 24" 2.8Ghz iMac and love it but I need a little more cash like you to get a MBP. :)

On a side note now that you feel emancipated and are gone from Windows it's time to spell "Mac" properly. It's "iMac" not iMAC. Peace. :)

I played with the 24" imac at the best buy's apple store (whoo hooo!) and wow... it really was amazing. But it's hard to tell if the monitor was calibrated for accuracy or for more of a WOW Factor.
I say that because I'm shopping for a new HD tv... and the store setups are all very poorly calibrated, and setup for very high brightness, but poorer color reproduction and what not.

I love the new keyboards they have :-D
