    This silly MS Word application crashed a couple of minutes ago, not too bad as I only edited my thesis marginally, but I used a picture for the first page that I cannot find on the internet again.

    I really need that picture, but this Word has totally screwed it up. It was directly copied from Google images to Word but is now gone. Is there any chance this picture could be somewhere on my macbook? And if so, where?

    directly copied? dont know... usualyl best to save pictures and attach...

    Have you tried using the history in safari/web browser to locate the image??
    you might be better off spending your time to find the image instead of pluggin away at word.
