Sometimes when I open my MBP while its asleep the screen stays black. I close the screen and after a minute the Apple on the front will flash on then off. When I open it back up the screen is blue and the the login screen pops up a few seconds later. Also sometimes it will comeback from sleep and the optical drive will make noise for a minute and then eject the disk that I have inside. What's wrong with my MBP? I've got a 2.2 MBP and running Leopard.

I alway had some issues with sleep mode in MacBooks. It happens once a month and simple reboot solves the problem. So I can live with this, but I have to be careful each time I close the lid and check if the computer is actually asleep.
I disabled bluetooth (or installed patched Widcomm drivers), which helped with USBs not working after the computer comes out of sleep.
It could be some software that you've installed that causes that. It looks that I started to have more issues with sleep once I installed a lot of software than when I had the system just freshly installed.
