I will be buying the black macbook this weekend but I'll be hooking it up to a 19" external monitor when I'm at home. Should I get apple's wireless mighty mouse and wireless keyboard? They are both bluetooth and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Are they worth the money?

The mouse is ok...as long as you get an alright one. A lot of the time the right-click is pretty inconsisant and requires me to switch the mouse off and on. But it's still pretty good I say.

The mouse is touch sensitive. Don't have your index finger on the mouse when you want to right click. The mouse works well, but I think the logitech v270 would work better if you are use to a typical two button mouse.

I got a Macally Optigo mouse which is small, optical, and retractable. It works on any computer because, it's only a mouse after all, and it's great for using with a laptop. Got it for about 10 bucks(new) on ebay.

I would stay away from both. Read the reviews on Apple's own site and you will quickly see that most people really do not enjoy their experience with them. There are many good options available out there that are cheaper.

Yar, don't get htem. They are way to expensive for what they are.
I use the wireless laser desktop from MS and it's been great. Though I rarely use it.

I'm using a logitech G7 wireless mouse and a wired microsoft keyboard right now. But if I keep using this setup, the 2 usb ports on the macbook will be used and I will have no ports for other things.... that's why I'm thinking of using apple's mouse and keyboard because it's bluetooth =(

But you can buy a better bluetooth keyboard from someone else that is probably going to be better.
I'm not a fan of any apple peripherals like their mice and keyboards. Thats just me though.
I bought the logitech v270 BT mouse for like, $30, and it works okay.

Another option is a USB hub. That is what I use.
