Just a note, I was wondering if anyone else's wireless has been acting up in bootcamp. Last night I noticed that my audio/video was choking randomly. After some research I found that it was a conflict with the wireless card. I updated the broadcom drivers and that seems to have corrected the issue, but the wireless did cut out once last night during TF2 so I'm not sure if it will be an ongoing problem. Has anyone encountered similar issues?

I've had wireless connectivity problems with the Alu MB and MBA. They had a hard time connecting to my home Sitecom router and the router at my local coffeeshop.

Strangely I haven't read many complaints about alu Apple's reception. The Asus and Sony laptops I work with have no problem connecting to the same networks.

i had the same problem with vista on bootcamp..
i used to have this problem with the Z, the way i fixed this was by selecting only one of the band frequencies (2.4 or 5) and it worked

How exactly did you do it? I'm using the Windows Wi-Fi not third party wireless manager. So I'd basically have choose between G and N?

You need to configure your access point or router to broadcast its signal on a different channel. Some wireless channels may be congested in your area, causing your Mac to lose packets or lose signal.

Actually my wireless speed is faster than my Desktop... Both in OS X and Windows XP. On my desktop I can't barely get over 800/kbs for downloads, but on the MBP using wireless I can get a constant 1.1/mbs. Maybe my desktop is just outdated...using bootcamp supplied drivers.

With my late 2008 MBP I seem to have intermittent problems with the Mac side of things, but my Windows side always connects to the router (wireless). When the Mac side asks me to reconfigue, it usually gives my network plus two others...certainly three networks wouldn't be congested?

A lot more 'stuff' can be broadcast on a channel than just ad-hoc network data.

I haven't encountered any issues connecting to my wireless router at home using my MacBook Pro and a Linksys WRT300N router. I don't use Boot Camp or Windows so I can't tell you how it would work on that side of things, but in Mac OS X it's great.
