    Hey guys,

    Does anyone know how i can enable javascript on wine bottler IE6 or 7? Im trying to watch my uni lectures online via microsoft silverlight at twice the speed (can't use speed setting on mac). ANy tips?

    best tip... WineBottler is old, outdated, and no longer updated... so I wouldn't use it.

    Javascript with IE does work for the most part in Wine though.. yes, but I'm not usre how well Silverlight works, never tried it.

    If you have a copy of Windows, you could always run a virtual machine for your schoolwork stuff.

    Wine is actively being worked on as well as many other projects based off it (like Wineskin you see in my sig)

    WineBottler is NOT Wine... its just a 3rd party program someone was making that used Wine, and WineBottler is what is not active for a long time. Wine itself is live and well and doing great.

    You can try using Wineskin

    thanks for the replies guys. Does wineskin allow javascript to be used when using IE?

    Wine tries to implement Windows APIs... its a constant work in progress. Does Javascript work? yes... is it always 100% correct with no bugs... no. Some Javascript will work fine... some may not work at all. You'd have to test and see.
