Hi all, I am quite comfortable with OSX as I grew up on it and the rest of my family use it aswell, But As I enjoy gaming and a few other non OSX programs I will probably use the MBP mostly under Vista, My two concerns are, What is the battery life like under Vista, And what is the deal with right clicking? Ive been told you can right click by holding your finger down on the trackpad while clicking, But how does this work under Vista?

I have a Macbook and Vista lasts about 2:30-3 hours. The new MBP last about the same as a Macbook so they COULD be the same. as for right click, if you dont have a USB mouse, you would have to put two fingers on the track pad and click.

Or you can hold down control while you click...most people have both hands on the keyboard most of the time anyways so the loss of the right click button isn't that big of a deal.

Strange that you would say that you're comfortable with OS X and ask about right clicking. I'll just assume you've been using a non-mac mouse this whole time ;)

No, I use Desktop macs at uni and my sister has one. The MBP is quite different from the MB it has a LED screen and a very different GPU, Larger screen to.

XP seems to be 30-45 minutes less than under Mac OS X for my MBP 2.4Ghz based on a clean xp install with no mods, tweaks or the usual stuff I do on my windows lappy to squeak out more battery life.

It is pretty good because I get 4.5-5 hours doing normal stuff on my MBP.

And that's a huge improvement over what the Napa based MBP's would (may still) get in Windows because of lack of PowerPlay for the x1600. Somewhere around 1-2 hours in XP was typical.
