For those that use Windows on your Mac's, which version do you recommend? I'm thinking, what's best for battery life, performance etc..

I have a copy of Windows XP Pro SP3 and Windows Vista Ultimate SP2. I'm tempted to go with XP for simplicity, and the fact that it has equal compatibility and a shed load less intrusive DRM.

    Thoughts?

    Hello,

Out of Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista SP2, I would recommend Windows XP SP3.

Although, Windows 7 runs great as well, despite it still being in beta. I have it installed on my Macbook alongside OS X.

Gaming and a few other programs really. I've thought about Windows 7, but it's not released yet so i'd be using RC software, and I don't really want to buy it when it's released when I can pretty much do everything I need on Windows XP

XP has a smaller hard drive footprint compared to Vista. DX10 is Vista only if you have any games that require DX10.

vista has better power management than xp and will run cooler than xp, but to alleviate its resources consumption, you can go to the windows tweak thread in the o.s thread.

I'd go with XP Pro, just because of my stroke of luck with it. I've never really had any problems at all with XP, so I'm inclined to choose it! :D
