I just bought a macbookpro and I ran bootcamp and installed Windows XP Home Edition to play games on. My question is that can I use a PC mouse on my mac while running windows, or does the mouse have to be mac compatible? I wanted to get the logitech G5 gaming mouse but its only PC based. If I can't use PC based mice than I'll settle for Logitech MX510.
    Thanks

It should work since all you need are usb drivers which are included in XP.

Does anybody else no anything about this? I read somewhere that it will work but I won't be able to control the sensitivity controls.

I use the Logitech G7 Mouse under bootcamp without any issues. To ensure compatibility install the logitech setpoint drivers.

Yes your G5 will work just fine.

Yes, any mouse should be fine. There's nothing particularly special about mice for macs, you can use any PC mouse on a Mac normally and it'll work fine - you just might not get all the bells and whistles of extra buttons without software (basic stuff such as support for more than one button and scroll wheel will work though).

Well I want all the additional buttons to work because I plan on assigning those for World of Warcraft. So will they work?
