Goodness, we can be a bit more polite about this....

Granted, one could have searched online but asking for a shortcut is reasonable and the forums can be a good source for such things :).

For the OP - here's one of the best guides around imo. However, note that Windows 7 beta is no longer available and the public license has expired (it turns itself off every 2 hours). You'll need to DL the RC software and get a public license from Microsoft here. Also DL the Vista trackpad update from Apple to install after the W7RC installation is complete. Stay away from the nVidia graphics driver update that W7 tries to install when you check for updates - it breaks the brightness control on the keyboard and locks it at max only.

Its now Windows 7 RC, and ClearSkies linked it! You can also consider virtualizing, and it can be completely free using VirtualBox!

I did ok loading win 7 rc on the macbook i got from my sister in law. I did cheat tho, I put a preformated(ntfs) larger hdd into it and tossed in win 7 32 bit rc. It does quite well preforming as a oversize netbook(13 inch white macbook).

On tell me it aint so, I already asked if i could use normal Nvidia display drivers and was told it was ok, nobody mentioned it caused the brightness to lock on full, I just got rid of a Samsung Notebook that did that. :( :( :( :(

EDIT : Is display drivers from the Nvida website OK, but the Microsoft ones though the update bad.

The display "worked" just fine after the driver update from W7, but it was then that I discovered the screen had gone to max and it didn't respond to the Fn keys for brightness control.... so I did a driver rollback to the default Bootcamp driver and all was fine. Could have been something specific to my MB that resulted in that effect, but I sort of doubt it since I didn't do any tweaking beforehand.

I never tried the nV direct driver package, since the BC got it back to working and I didn't want to sit through another potential driver install/un cycle.
