I'm upgrading the RAM on a newly purchased 15.4" Macbook Pro (2.4Ghz).

I noticed on Newegg.com that G.Skill offers a PC2-6400 that is advertised to work on "Apple Notebooks".

A brief discussion on the Apple forum said they called Crucial to ask the same questions and someone told him it wouldn't work.

    So what's the TRUE story?

    Will it work?

....If not, then will PC2-5300 Cas4 Latency Ram be worth the extra $23 over Cas5 PC2-5300 running something intensive like VMWare Fusion?
