Not really. It is hard to tell if this falls in line with the common wi-fi issues many MBP/MBA owners are experiencing or if it is something new. About the only thing you can do is restart your computer forcing it to power your wi-fi off and back on along with making sure OS X is up from a fresh boot.

Many people have these problems. The MBP uses a pretty crappy wireless card for the amount of money that you are paying for it.

Just keep trying to restart and connect, eventually you probably will be able to.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there a decent upgrade for the wireless card?

no, you cant upgrade the card with a good atheros or intel, A: propitiatory layout and B: no drivers in OSX
all you can do in most models is swap with identical part, some models cant even be swapped

You could always use an external USB dongle but that is a hassle and I don't even know if they offer modern ones with 802.11n support.

Instead about the only thing you can do is make sure OS X is up to date, restart your modem (unplug it from the power for 30 seconds and plug it back in), restart your wi-fi router (do the same), and restart your Mac. That may help things out. Also make sure that your wi-fi router isn't broadcasting on a common channel. I initially had issues with my router with every device that I owned. It was broadcasting on channel 2 and, since I live in an apartment complex, I am sure everyone else around me is doing the same since channel 2 seems to be the universal default.

I changed it to channel 10 (or something along those lines) and it is fine now. My MBA will still have issues once in a while but it is the only device I have that is experiencing those problems.

You could also turn off your wifi and then go under system/library and under system preferences, delete the .plist files. This basically forces your computer to reset your airport card by starting with new settings when you restart the computer. Things usually work out, so you can empty your trash folder after the restart.
