Someone has to have had this issue. I've had it with pretty much every laptop in recent memory, and the MacBook Pro is no different. If I'm using a wireless mouse (the mice I've tried = Logitech V400, V450, VX Nano and G7), it's pretty much useless as soon as I upload across my home network over WiFi. The mouse loses responsiveness in every way (sometimes clicking won't even work till I click 2 or 3 times), but as soon as I'm done uploading - everything works just fine.

Is there any way at all to fix this? I can't be the only one with this issue.

Sounds like interference. Both your wireless network and mouse operate at 2.4Ghz. Try changing the channel on one or the other. That should fix it. Also consider moving your router if changing the channel does not work.

Tried all of the above. No difference. The actual trackpad has no issues when I'm uploading at full speed, and normal uploads (pictures etc) just over the Internet e.g. via e-mail - have no issues. It's only when I'm maxing out my upload locally that I have these issues.

Are these wireless mice bluetooth? I can understand some type of interference as all these peripherals share the 2.4Ghz band....but it seems so odd! how far is your laptop from the router in general? Have you tried going to a "hot spot" at say a starbucks or panera bread and see if you had the same results?

It does this on my Alcatel DSL/router, and it did it on my Netgear G and my Netgear N router. The mice are not BT. And as I stated earlier, I can't test this ANYWHERE because it only happens when transferring files over the LOCAL network. Doing normal Internet uploading has no effect on my mouse.

What else do you use on your local network? Do you have a media server or some other service that's constantly running? If so, try disabling that service. I had an issue transferring large files over my local network, and when I disabled my Twonkyvision media server the problem vanished.

Nope no media service. Just basic file sharing that I just got set up. I'm used to this issue, because I do think it's probably just the Logitech mice that suck (need to try other wireless mice...).

Same issue here. I've got an MX Revolution on my desktop. When I max out the wireless connection on this macbook, it essentially breaks the mouse. I don't remember this happening with Internet use, but when copying files around on the LAN it happens reliably.

Ye, it's just LAN use that breaks it. It's a real shame, since it's, in my eyes, a clear design fault of some sort (not sure whether to blame the laptop (all laptops?), or the wireless signal the Logitech mice incorporate. In any case, it sucks.
