    Why does my mouse suddenly slow down in OS X?

    I've got an MBA with an USB mouse connected.

    When I move the mouse a little bit slower, the pointer goes incredibly slow over the screen.

    What is this feature and can I switch it off?

    I've tried searching for settings but to no avail.

    in windows it is called mouse acceleration, so maybe the same in OSx
