    Took me back to windows spyware days, the program looks so "unapplesque". Im back in leopard. What caused that?

    Maybe you hit the "D" key before the Apple Logo came up. That is how you bring up the hardware test.

    You have to hold down the D key for that to happen though?

    the Apple Hardware Test does not look like OS X, if i remember correctly, it is based on OS 9.
