Found it a few days ago. Pretty surprised I didn't hear about it coming to the Mac sooner. Anyway, I used it for all my Windows machine with great results.

Just wondering what everyone elses' thoughts are compared to the other AVs out there?

While I hate to say that I won't be much help here since I don't use this software, I will say that you may not get many (if not at all) responses to your question as Anti-Virus software isn't commonly used on Macs. Do you have any real reason to use it? Are you in an environment that has been threatened?

I tried it and it broke some applications I was running and access to my servers. So I ended up uninstalling and restoring from my TM backup.

I've been using avast for years (the free versions) but now it seems that starting from ver.7 it's going to be non-free. Probably going to switch to MSE.

I use the free version of Sophos. Runs great and isn't noticeable.

I've been using it for a long time for my personal windows machines. I use it on my windows 2008 server machine too. Been using it for about 6 yrs now, maybe longer.

I don't use anti-virus in OS X though, just windows machines. It's never let me down yet. The only other one I've considered has been eset, but haven't really had any reason to switch.

I install Avast on any Windows machine I can get my hands on :)
Customizable, decent protection, and for free.

On OSX I use ClamAV. It's an on-demand scanner. Meaning, if I think a file might be suspicious, I scan it before opening. Nothing running in the background during surfing/downloading though.

I find Avast horrid under Windows, so if I had any reasons to use an anti virus program under OS X I'd pick anything but.
