Anyone have dirt problems on their white macbook? e.g. browning of the wrist areas, keys, etc.?

How durable is the outer shell of the white macbook? Does it scratch, get dirty, etc.?

If so, does cleaning it get the dirt off?

    thanks.

Dirt? As in serious dirt? I wouldn't be using my MacBook with dirt on my hands :D.

Anyways, the MacBook does get a bit dirty (some areas on the palmrest may start to have a slight stain), but I just use water and a cloth, and after a few rubs its gone.

The outer shell of the MacBook is glossy, so scratches will show. However, in normal usage it is only very slight scratching, which you won't notice unless you shine a bright light directly at the case and look at it from an angle.

my white macbook is still very white. If you don't clean it during a year, then it gets dirty, like everything. I clean mine often. My screen often shows some dust, so you just HAVE to clean it anyway

How old is your MB? If I remember right, the older macbooks had issues with the palm area. I don't think there is much you can really do about it, aside from complain to Apple or visit a store. For the future, you can consider keeping it clean regularly and/or use some kind of sticker/protective cover.

    I don't think tatsumi has a MacBook yet, vespoli :D :).

Anyways, if your MacBook did have the palmrest issue, Apple has acknowledged the issue, and will replace it for you (for free, of course).
