Ok, so here's the thing. I spend all my time, on YouTube, watching videos of other peoples Apple Computers... So, I got thinking... what if, I had a Macbook!? I need to make this clear, I DO NOT HAVE MONEY TO BUY THE LATEST MACBOOK/PRO!!!!! or the Unibody ones for that matter. I'm wanting to know, should I buy a Macbook? or keep my current notebook (In sig) and pimp it out? The Macbook I'm looking at is a C2D 1.8GHz, 1GB Ram, 60GB HDD(Keep my current 160 though..), Combo, AP/BT etc.

I'm really stuck here. :( Another thing is that I have a TON of software for Windows, and obviously if I have a Macbook, I won't be able to use it...

Any help or tips or anything would be greatly appreciated. :)

The most important thing to ask is, why do you want a Mac?

I really like the look's of the OS X. I don't know a huge lot about them, but I would like to get in hard with design, and have been told that Mac's are the best for that (correct me if I'm wrong!), and TBH, I'm over Windows.

I've used Linux, it's great, just not as a main OS.

I was going to tell you to buy the Macbook Pro ... Go to your local best buy and compare the two machines in person.

When you compare them, if you still think the Macbook is the better buy (highly unlikely if you appreciate quality), then go for it.

More importantly however, why exactly do you need a Macbook? You're not replacing your old machine so what gives?

That was true like 10 years ago ... It's not true anymore. If you want raw power specifically for design, a PC is your choice.

Macs don't really have any edge in that department anymore.

What? Yes I am. I forgot to say that, If I got a Macbook, I'd first sell my current one.
    Thanks for clarifying :)

To me it doesn't sound like a good idea to get a Mac at this time. It seems that money is an issue and you don't have a firm grasp on what you want. I would spend some time reading up on OS X and trying one out at a store.

Ok, Thanks. Of course, before I went the further leap, actually really considering buying one, I'd go into the City, to the Apple Store, and test drive OS X.

I'd say save up to get the Pro to get the full Mac experience.

The "full Mac experience" can be had from older machines too.
