I was looking at getting a Zalman cooler, however i'm not sure which one ( the NC 1000 or NC 2000) will give me the best fit for the 15.4 inch MBP. Does anyone have any first hand experience with either or can give me some feedback on them.

If you take a look at the NC1000 dimensions you will see that the width 330mm is smaller than the Macbook Pro's 357mm.

    So get the NC2000 :D

I'd vote the NC2000, but no cooler will save you from the MBP inferno > :D
